Our yard, the progression

This is what our yard looked like this spring. As you can tell the weeds are as tall as Athena.

These are some rocks I found in the yard.

Sam leveling the ground.

Mom sweeping off our patio.

Looking better and all ready for the sod.

There's grass!

We hired a few men to help us lay the sod and it took us 4 hours. I can only imagine if we didn't have them. We would have been there all day.

The finished product.

My rose bush.

I used the rocks from the yard to fill this area in.

The new concrete pad. My brother-in-law Eddie and Carrie came down and helped us put in the new pad. Thank you guys!

The flower bed. I have forsythia and the other plants my mom took from her yard and gave to me.

Remis Velisque. A Latin phrase meaning with oars and sails; e.g. go forward with all your might. Basically it means you can overcome any obstacle.

We all signed our names in the concrete.
